Word on the street is the Louis Vuitton Monogram Agenda in GM size is sold out and in demand! At the time that I purchased mine two years ago, I also couldn’t find it at the local boutique and a representative had to call around to help me locate one. Luckily, there was one at the LV in San Jose/Santa Clara area and I was able to have it on hold for me.
I have had planners ever since I was in middle school, so I was really excited to get this item and put it to good use. It’s a very durable item and still looks almost brand new even after 2 years! I do have to take into account the fact that it never leaves my desk, but nonetheless, I have used it almost daily for two years and it is in like-new condition!
The canvas is VERY thick and of extremely high quality. I can’t see it getting damaged unless you’re scraping and banging it against hard edges. I’ve heard of people’s rings and button snap closure becoming loose over time and continued use, but the hardware on mine continued to be as new as the day I brought her home.
If you’re in the market for an agenda and are thinking about splurging on an LV agenda cover, but aren’t sure if it’s worth the money, I highly encourage you to take the plunge. The quality is top-notch and I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase it again. I say this because if you ever become bored if it, or don’t want it anymore for any reason, you can sell it on the second-hand market and recoup the cost. If you keep it in excellent condition, you can get back 80%+ of what you paid retail. If your item is in high demand and it’s a seller’s market, you can get back 100% or even make a little bit of money. That is why certain luxury brands are okay to splurge on; because they retain their value.
I may actually sell this one in favor of the MM size so that I can more easily bring the agenda around with me, but nonetheless, I am sure that the quality is there for the MM size as well.
The Louis Vuitton agendas are extremely versatile. I’ve seen many users transform the PM agenda covers into a passport holder/wallet combo, or an agenda/wallet combo. I’ve also seen many use their MM agendas as an agenda/wallet combo as well because of the many credit card slots. The GM is full size and less convenient to use as a wallet, but I’ve seen some purchase the credit card holder inserts and use it as an all-in-one daily wallet/agenda/journal/stationary/anything-else-you-can-possibly-think-of-combo.
Of course, you can probably customize any other agenda out there to be what you need it to be, but if your heart keeps pulling you towards the LV agendas and you just needed another person’s opinion that this piece is a good investment, then I hope this post has been helpful 😊
